Wow! It has been a hard and crazy last few months! It has been way to long since my last blog, for several reasons. We began last year with preparing to become missionaries, going through the training, transitioning to no full time jobs but full time ministry, planting and harvesting a massive garden for put up for the winter, hunting and a move to Alabama that for whatever reason didn't work out. Then to top off our craziness we were pregnant with baby number 8, well pregnancy #8. In the midst of all our hardships of working ourselves to death (so it felt at times) we crashed. We returned home from our travels to rent a home in Alabama with a very hard miscarriage with in 3 days, then we all got real sick. All this is just the just of it but we fail to mention so many times all the small mundane things of life like keeping your kids alive, homeschooling, cooking, cleaning, and appts. Some days it all just seems too much! BUT we serve a God that has called us to this crazy life and to live it to the best of what we can for Him!
So, this New Year we take a deep breath and charge into unknown waters with a know God. There is so many people that state "these are uncertain times" well, perhaps it's in our perspectives? To us, all this craziness is not uncertain because through out scripture the Bible is clear that we will face these kinds of times. Matt 24, 1 Timothy 4:1, 2 Corinth 4:4, Ephesians 6:12, Luke 21:36 and 2 Corinth 11:13-15 and there are many more. Even more so that we will face our own struggles and trials.
We wish so badly that we could tell everyone what it is that God is doing with us this year or even every day, but we do know that but we can trust Him if only we are willing to stop and listen to His direction. While we go on with our day to day lives we continue to lead worship at our home church, reach out to the community, do all our missionary training and reading materials, hold bible studies and ladies studies, and try to disciple others along the way.
What ever the future may be we know this, that He who promised is Faithful. Hebrews 10:23-25. We will not fear, nor stay still and be stepped on, we will stand strong against the plans of the enemy and honor God, because one day He will make all things new Rev 21:5 and that is promise enough for us!
