Praise Him in the storm

Updated: Jun 9, 2023

As many of you have seen we have been silent lately. I have wanted so many times to update our friends and followers but it seems like one thing or another everyday. I wouldn't even know where to begin for the most part. This morning the Lord made it clear to me that even through all these difficult times I am called to worship Him and be joyful in affliction.

I'll give a quick update.

-Our missions trip to Chiapas, Mexico was a No Go after God turned us around at the boarder 4x and we saw His protection through it all and no harm to us by the wars going on in Mexico.

-We returned home with puppies and a mess everywhere and with the need to start on our addition to our house immediately. ( Not many nice days to pour concrete in January).

-With in 5 days of being home we found out we were pregnant WHAT JOY AND SURPRISE 10th pregnancy and 11 baby total.( We count all those we lost as well). Also I am now needing to go to Rheumatology to be tested for some autoimmune disease based on my labs.... and being pregnant on that.

-That following week the twins were fussy and dad and I left for the city a few hours away for our 18th yr Anniversary and to buy second hand stuff for the construction. There the engine in our Expedition went out and we barley made it home, so that date was not as great as we thought it would be. lol

-Having to return home early we find kids sick with RSV and of course I got it also. I ran to town one day to pick up stuff for the sickness and 5 days after getting home and while in town 20 miles away the transmission in our Explorer goes out.

- My then RSV turned to Bronchitis and I struggled being sick and still am!!

- At my 11 week visit we go in to see how the baby is growing and doing. the Dr states there is no heart beat.... we are broken, devastated and doing this for the 3rd time, then to come home and have to tell the children. That's the hardest!

-Recently, we went to Denver to see the Specialist for me and for my kids to have a fellowship time with church day and friends. That whole trip was just chaos in some way or the other, the twins didn't hardly sleep the entire time so neither did I. Then on our way home we found out our house had caught fire! Ugh poor grandma was trying to help sweep and swept up an ember from the fireplace and threw it in the trash..... well her and a friend got the fire out but it was a good clean up job to come home to and days later we are still trying to get the smell of smoke out of stuff.

This has been our year so far. Anything far from perfect, what may seem good or even easy. BUT all that said God is still God, and praise to Him we are allowed to awake everyday to try to do life again. It hasn't been easy AT ALL, especially loosing baby, lately I even feel like I am loosing my mind trying to keep up with everything and do daily life. Homeschooling, cooking, cleaning, bills, appointments, building, music practice, ministry, online sells and the list just goes on for miles.

My encouragment to you all.... DONT QUIT! Life is hard sometimes and we want to throw in the towel exactly what the enemy wants for us to do. DONT!! BUT instead be joyful and patient in affliction Romans 12:12

And for the last of this tidbit I will say,...........

AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD!

Jeremiah 24:15
